Post Time Skip: Kaili was forced to stray away from both the Ashbirds and the Trio as family problems ensued. His father, the head of the Lucky Owl Trading Company, small but prosperous, began to suffer from an unknown illness. In order to prevent from enemies taking advantage of this sudden weakness, both Kaili and his twin brother Keung returned to the family to help manage the business as his father's health deteriorated.

This strained the relations with the Ashbirds and the Trio as his movements began to become shady, until one day, Kaili didn't return to the Ashbirds. Before this occurred, he and Xie-Ling had a large fight due to his absence in the gang and his strange behavior, which Kaili couldn't explain to her. They broke up and it hurt him deeply. A few days later, his father passed away, and his brother took some actions of his own that only continued to make him more upset. He took to alcohol to solve his problems, and has taken a liking to the liquid now.

After rethinking his life and hearing of the return of both Iggy and Xie-Ling, Kaili has become a better person. He is more willing to do things for the gang and take whatever risks are necessary, but only if he can go about it intelligently. He has gained a lot of common sense and knowledge about how people work, as well as certain status for being the head of a business. He has become rather cocky due to this sudden power. He still acts spoiled from time to time, and uses his sly, conniving ways to benefit the company.

As for his relations with the trio, they have suffered. After hearing of Iggy and Xie's travels, he grew increasingly jealous and insecure, and has still not come to peace with Iggy. He pretends to, but secretly suspects that something else has occurred. He and Xie-Ling have not gotten back together as of now, and the Trio is still working on saving their friendship.

New Skills: His fire kicks have strengthened, and he is able to not just make fire at the base of his feet, but have it envelop his entire leg for more damage. He has also learned to apply the same skill of having static fire at the base of his palms into a sort of fire fist. Currently working on figuring out how to send the fire off.

Future: He hopes to become a good leader of the Lucky Owl Trading Company, as well as at least reach Raptor level within the Ashbirds. He wants to save his relations with Iggy and Xie-Ling, as well as other friends within the Ashbirds and his brother. He has plans to live a good life with Xie-Ling at his side and Uncle Iggy, so he hopes that this will be possible in the future.
